If the state would allocate yearly supplemental workforce funding, it would be a game changer for daycare providers. We could use those funds to buy safety supplies and support the daily needs of our programs. Moreover, we could hire and retain much-needed personnel to assist us in better running our programs.

Workforce grants would definitely help bring the stability we need in our programs. It would make it easier for us to retain our staff and also help us pay rent and utility bills, since prices in New York City are very expensive, making it hard for us to secure and maintain spaces where we can operate effectively.

Many of us struggle every single month to pay rent and utility bills. Having access to supplemental workforce funding would provide much-needed relief and stability for child care providers and the families we serve. It would be a great support for our programs if we were able to receive those funds.
