While the Budget Has Been Finalized, Our Work Continues
Dear Parents, Providers, and Advocates,
As the state budget process comes to a close, I want to thank every educator, parent, family member, and advocate who helped elevate the realities of child care in our communities. Your stories, experiences, and voices helped ensure that decision-makers heard directly from those most affected by child care policies and funding decisions.
While the budget has been finalized, our work continues. We must keep building meaningful relationships with our elected officials and the agencies that influence the systems serving children, families, and educators. Lasting change happens when our voices remain present at the table.
To the families still facing waitlists and struggling to find affordable, accessible child care, please know that we stand with you. We understand the challenges these barriers create for working families, and we recognize the dedication of educators who are ready to serve but are often limited by policies and system constraints.
ECE on the Move remains committed to shining a light on the needs of families and educators across our communities. We will continue advocating for solutions that support parents’ ability to work, children’s ability to thrive, and educators’ ability to provide high-quality care and education.
Together, we have made progress. Together, we will continue the work.
In solidarity,
Gladys Jones
